Cathy Connor, originally from Sydney is a Melbourne based pianist who has worked professionally as a soloist, accompanist, ensemble pianist, musical director, composer, arranger in Sydney, regional NSW and Melbourne. Cathy’s extensive performing experience includes residencies and casual gigs playing Jazz, R&B Latin and pop in cafes, clubs restaurants private functions and Crown She has performed in NSW regional towns and in numerous jazz festivals . Cathy currently teaches jazz piano at Box Hill Creative industries and performs with Triple Shot. She holds both classical and popular tertiary music qualifications in piano arranging and composing.
Ben Harmsen has performed extensively on electric and upright bass over the past 30 years in a wide variety of ensembles, genres, venues, festivals and functions.He has taught music in secondary schools and now teaches contemporary music full-time at a TAFE Music faculty since 2000. He holds a Bachelor of Music from VCA and Diploma of Education from Monash University. He continues to regularly play in freelance gigs and recordings.
A practicing professional drummer and educator in Melbourne for over ten years, Peter Kahoun is as comfortable performing in a cozy city bar as in a concert hall. With a passion for Jazz and Latin, he has played along side too many of this city's wonderful musicians to list, both as a freelance musician and ongoing band member. Past bands include 'The Jazz Collective' with Finley Francois and Jamie Barlow, 'Funky Grooves' led by Lucas Van Berkel, 'Taylor and Silk' with Sarah Taylor and Steven Silk, 'Boom Boom Rhythm Combo', a Funky Latin band led by Paul Carey and playing with the folk inspired singer songwriter Joel Muston. Currently Peter continues to freelance and plays regularly with Jazz trio 'Triple Shot', who performed at this years Inverloch Jazz festival.
