Booking a band couldn't be easier. Call or email us for a quote with the following details...
•The band or acts name or a selection of ideas. •Your preferred contact details. •The type of event. •Event date. •The venue name and details. •Preferred performing times.
It is possible that at the time of booking you may not have all the details. If so, just give as much information as you can to help us quote more accurately, then, once the band is booked, we can organise the details as we get nearer to the date.
Selecting an act does not need to be difficult. In most cases, it is simply a matter of picking an act that performs to your requirements, at the right price. Let us know the age group & background of your guests, the location and budget, and we will offer the most suitable options. The site is designed to be as helpful as possible when it comes to finding the right band. We have a search function which can help you pick out the type of band that you are after, location, male or female vocalist etc. Booking your preferred band, DJ or performance act for your wedding, party or event could not be simpler. Once we are all clear on your requirements for music and are agreed on the right entertainment for the job, we will write up contracts and take a small booking deposit. You can then pay the remaining balance in instalments before the day, as a bank transfer cleared before the event or as the full amount to the entertainment on the night.
How early does the act arrive to set up?
This will vary depending on the type of act you have booked. Bands and Dj's should arrive at least an hour and a half before they are scheduled to start their performance. If you need the act to be any earlier then an additional fee may be required and needs to be organised prior to the booking. We will contact the venue before the function to confirm the load-in opportunity also known as 'bump in' and sound check times. When it comes to space requirements, for example, an acoustic guitarist and singer should only need about 1 x 2 metres whereas a full 8 piece funk band will obviously need more like 6x3 metres. Most bands can make any space work but it is best to let us know if you have restrictions on space.
Can I see the act performing somewhere before I book?
Some acts have private viewings where you can see them perform, however to help you make the best choice possible, the acts photos, audio and videos are available on our website.
How long does an act perform?
This will vary depending on the type of act you have booked and will be outlined in the contract. Normally a band plays three x 45 minute sets over the length of the booking time. Most of our rock, pop, funk and soul acts play either 2 x 1 hours or 3 x 40 mins which works out perfectly for an evening reception lasting from roughly 8pm to midnight. Most bands can do more or less depending on your requirements. Most acoustic acts offer 2 x 40 mins and other classical acts can play anything from 30 mins up to roughly 3 hours. When not performing, a band and DJ will play music between sets. Also, you can bring your own music for them to play in between their sets.
Can the act be MC for our function?
Yes, most acts do provide basic MC services in addition to providing you and your guests with an entertaining performance.
If you require the services of a professional MC we can arrange this for you.
What if I need the band for my wedding reception and also before or during my wedding ceromony?
If you need an act before and during the wedding ceremony or even any pre and post wedding entertainment, as is the case with a lot of European cultures, please let us know as many of our acts are able to provide this for you. An additional fee will apply.
Do we need to provide food for the act and what is the word rider referring to?
The word rider refers to the food requirements of the act. If an act is booked for more then three hours, then you need to provide food and drink for them. Venues generally provide you with discounted meals. Any performance under 3 hours require the act to be provided with refreshments only.
We offer solutions for every style of event and budget.

A running sheet is also known as the order of events, which outlines when meals will be served, speeches will be made as well as other formalities.
Running sheets are usually provided by the venue in keeping with the smooth and professional work flow of their kitchen. This is used to organise the times when the band/acts will be performing.
Bands generally will perform to the individual needs of each client.
